Strategic Plan

Print this page

This strategic plan is founded upon a scan of FSNA’s internal operations and external environment. The information collected during the scan process was drawn from consultations with members, branches, directors, staff and other key stakeholders. The strategic plan also builds on the Association’s rich and successful history and will guide the work of FSNA leading up to its 50th anniversary year in 2013.

2008-2012 FSNA Strategic Plan (PDF)

FSNA has adopted a strategic approach to planning for the future. This approach separates the strategic direction and 5-year strategic plan from the annual operational plan. The strategic direction is a constant reminder of FSNA's envisioned future and is reflected in the Vision, Mission and Key Results Areas of the strategic plan.

Turning Strategy Into Action

The FSNA Board of Directors is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Association and for establishing the policies needed to guide the achievement of key results.

FSNA works with the federal and provincial governments and other key stakeholders in the execution of the strategic plan.
